The St. John’s Boys’ Choir offers an enriching experience in music education with an emphasis in vocal music, as well as the socializing experiences of shared enterprise, fellowship, cultural awareness, and touring for boys ages 8-15. The choir promotes vocal music education in Central Minnesota and offers the unique experience of a well trained boys’ choir to its audiences.

SJBC invities you to our annual audition day at Saint John's University. Boys participate in musical activities throughout the day and will perform a piece for parents at the end of the day. From the boys who participate in the day's activities, the 2009 Training Choir will be selected. The new recruits will begin their tenure with SJBC by spending two days on the Saint John's campus interacting with members of the staff as well as with older choirboys.

UPCOMING EVENTS

BOYS AT THE CATHEDRAL
The Concert Choir will return to one of their favorite venues when they provide the music ministry for the 9:45 am Sunday Mass at the Cathedral of St. Mary in St. Cloud, MN. Join the congregation and listen to the boys as they lead worship with several of their sacred selections.

PALM SUNDAY AT THE ABBEY
The Concert Choir will minister at the Palm Sunday Mass at Saint John's Abbey Church. Join us as we start in the Great Hall for the Blessing of Palms by Abbot John Klassen, followed by a procession to the Abbey Church for the reading of Passion and the Eucharist. The boys will sing repertoire ranging from Gregorian chant to 20th Century American sacred music.
