Auditions

Auditions for membership in SJBC are held every January. Successful auditions result in acceptance into the Training Choir for that calendar year. Please read the information below for details on our audition process and important dates.

Parent Information Meeting

By attending this meeting, you will be able to learn more about The St. John’s Boys’ Choir, have an opportunity to ask questions about the choir, and sign up for a full day of music-making and auditions for your son. If you are unable to attend the meeting and are interested in The St. John’s Boys’ Choir, please call us and we will be happy to answer any questions that you may have. You can also sign up for the Audition Day by calling the Boys' Choir office at (320) 363-2558.

Audition Day

Saturday, January 28, 2012 • 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Saint John's University

This event includes participation in a rehearsal-type setting, attending a theory class, and having an individual voice lesson. Boys who are accepted into the choir will begin their tenure with SJBC at the Training Choir Camp (February 3-4, 2012) and begin regular rehearsals on Thursday, February 9.

Please feel free to register even if you haven't made up your mind yet. Lots of questions will be answered at the Informational Meeting and a lot of families don't make up their minds until that point. We encourage you to register so that we can be in communication with you regarding the audition.
