business managers' workshop |
Have you ever wondered where you could get the answers to all of your arts management questions? In just three days we would like to help you ensure your organization’s quality and future by helping to improve your business and volunteer operations. I invite you to attend our management workshop for non-profit organizations such as: children’s, girls’ and boys’ choirs, as well as youth music ensembles and children’s theatres.
Using the principles and procedures that we will share during this intense workshop, our organizations has, over the past ten years:
• attained non-profit status
• made better use of parent volunteers
• run focused meetings
• eliminated nickel and dime fund raisers
• begun a major gifts campaign and an annual giving program
• increased our grant income
• developed a high functioning board of directors
• insured our organization and board members
• developed a safety training and leadership program for our choirboys
• created annual alumni gatherings and support
The management workshop takes place on the beautiful campus of Saint John’s Abbey, University, and Preparatory School in Collegeville, Minnesota. We have been offering this for 7 years. Below are some comments from previous attendees:
“I am so happy we were made aware of your workshop! It has made a huge difference in my outlook and future goals for the Choir. I want to come back and soak it all up again every year to clean out my mind and rejuvenate.”
“I get to experience quite a few events each year on the order of administrative development in business, but none have been as worthwhile and beneficial as the St. John’s [Boys’ Choir] Management Workshop. I calculate that when we implement our five contract items, we will recognize a threefold increase in revenue, enabling a substantial increase in our director’s salary, and allowing us to hire an administrative person to assist with marketing efforts. Quite a return on our investment! Again, thanks for the significant role you have played in stabilizing the future of arts education and performance for children in Huntsville, Alabama.”

2006 Workshop Participants
I want to insure that by having someone from your organization attend this workshop, you will notice improvements in your artistic program; your volunteer support will increase; relations with your local communities will flourish, and the youth will have a much richer experience.
