The Concert Choir is available for concerts, including events as part of a concert series. The Choir accepts engagements throughout the state of Minnesota or venues in neighboring states within 3 hours of travel. Some travel engagements require overnight stays. To help cover the cost of accommodations, the boys are usually set up with a local church or school group that coordinates overnight housing the boys.

The choir is available for concerts in the following months: November, February, March and May. To discuss performance options in other months, please consult the artistic staff.

The Concert Choir typically travels with 40 boys, and 4 chaperones (including conductor and accompanist). The choir can present sacred and/or secular music according to your preference. The choir has three formal uniforms - robes, black ties, and tuxes.

60-70 minute performance (no intermission)

75-90 minute performance (with intermission)
$1350 + transportation*

* Bus costs vary between $400 and $1000 depending on mileage

The Concert Choir is available to perform at various private engagements for civic, business or governmental organizations. These include short programs, full length performances and intermittent performances. The choir does not typically accept engagements in which the choir is asked to perform background music. Fees vary based on the nature of the performance.

SJBC enjoys the opportunity to minister at churches of all denominations and has a variety of sacred music to suit all liturgical needs. The Concert and Junior Varsity Choirs minister to between 6 and 15 church communities each season. The choir will often include a prelude and/or postlude concert for your congregation. Often nearby parishes cooperate with one another to host the choir.

** In lieu of an honorarium (or in addition to a smaller honorarium), parishes often take up a separate collection to support the boys' presence at the liturgy.

Under special circumstances, the Concert Choir will minister for weddings for a cost of $5000 plus transportation if necessary.

SJBC is committed to serving local school communities. Several outreach programs are available, and once a year, the Junior Varsity Choir visits schools to promote choral singing. SJBC and its conductors also offer workshops and clinics. General outreach performance to schools is completely FREE, but clinics and workshops that involve the conductors and choirboys are available for a small fee. Please consult with the artistic staff regarding options.
