The St. John's Boys' Choir

The St. John's Boys' Choir offers an enriching experience in music education with an emphasis in vocal music, as well as the socializing experiences of shared enterprise, fellowship, cultural awareness, and touring for boys ages 8-15. The choir promotes vocal music education in Central Minnesota and offers the unique experience of a well-trained boys' choir to its audiences.

SJBC, in collaboration with Saint John's Prep and the Youth Chorale of Central Minnesota, will host the world-renowned Czech Boys Choir and Young Men's Ensemble directed by Jakub Martinec. The Concert Choir will join with the Czechs on Monday, February 6 to present a concert in the Great Hall. Our guests will then present their own full-length concert at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud on Tuesday, February 7. Both performances are at 7:30 pm and admission is a free will offering.

The Concert Choir will travel to Madison, WI to sing in the famous Overture Center (pictured) as part of the 2012 American Choral Directors' Association North Central Division Conference. The boys are one of only three boychoirs across the US invited to perform at one of the seven division conferences taking place over the next two months. The boys will then travel to LaCrosse, WI where they will meet up with the LaCrosse Boychoir and minister at liturgies at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral and at St. Rose Convent.
