This popular Thanksgiving tradition returns for our 30th anniversary season. Join founder Br. Paul Richards as he leads a chorus of alumni from the last 30 years. A rare SJBC event of music for men's chorus, selections will include favorite selections from previous editions of this event and will highlight the musical growth and maturity of the many alums.

Now an established holiday tradition in Central Minnesota, the Concert and Junior Varsity Choirs will join with a special high-school alumni chorus to present selections of sacred Christmas music in one of Central Minnesota's most beautiful settings. The boys will enliven the candlelit Cathedral with Benjamin Britten's masterpiece A Ceremony of Carols as well as a variety of other beautiful Christmas works by composers such as Holst, Rutter, Willcocks, Stroope, Whitacre and Biebl among others. Harpist Nikki Lemire joins SJBC to accompany the Britten while members of the Amadeus Chamber Symphony and Fr. Anthony Ruff will lend their musical talents throughout the concert.

Started in January 1997, this beloved Festival ran for 11 years, bringing local area choirs together to join in song at Saint John's Abbey Church. For our 30th Anniversary, SJBC will once again present this concert in honor of the Week of Christian Unity. Church choirs from various denominations across Central Minnesota will join with the boys and special guest artist Jearlyn Steele to present hymns, both traditional and contemporary, representing a variety of faiths, reminding us that we are all one people.

Always regarded as the best concert of the year, SJBC will close out its season with the annual On Tour Concert. This year's concert will feature a special alumni chorus that will provide some men's choir selections as well as join with the choirboy in presenting some of the SATB favorites from the past three decades. Join the choirs, led by founder Br. Paul Richards as they musically reminisce over the last 30 years, including the world premiere performance of a commissioned work by renowned Minnesotan composer René Clausen.
