The St. John’s Boys’ Choir offers various educational opportunities throughout the year, encompassing summer camps, after-school programs and choir festivals.

 

Sing in the Summer

July 11-14, 2011
Saint John's Preparatory School
Registration Deadline: July 8, 2011
Cost: $100 (due on the first day of camp)
*Scholarships available. Inquire within.

This annual day camp is open to any boy entering the 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th grades in the Fall of 2011. For four days boys will have fun learning the basics of singing, music and playing the recorder. The boys always have loads of fun engaging in the various musical and non-musical activties.

BRING A FRIEND DISCOUNT: If you come with a friend, both you AND your friend will receive a 20% discount on your registration. Pairs of friends must register by July 5 to be eligible for this discount.

Music to the Max

2011-2012 tentative dates:
Fall Session: October 19 - December 7
Spring Session: March 21 - May 9

*A partnership with Talahi Elementary School

SJBC believes strongly in providing exceptional musical experiences for ALL young people. The choir has been in talks with local area school teachers to re-establish an after school music program in the south end of St. Cloud. This program targets youth with limited opportunities for musical growth. Music to the Max seeks to provide an outlet for them to advance their musical learning in a safe and friendly atmosphere.


KidSing: Central Minnesota Children's Singing Festival

The St. John's Boys' Choir in collaboration with the SCSU Cantabile Girls' Choir will invite 100 area school children to spend the day with them - singing, playing games, having fun, and making new friends. All children well spend the day in workshops and activities with conductors André Heywood, Sarah Cohen, Betsy Eickhoff and Brandon Nordhues. The day will conclude with a concert for the community in Ritsche Auditorium.
