Joann Weber
Executive Director

Joann Weber has served as the primary administrator of The St. John’s Boys’ Choir for 19 years. She facilitates program development and is responsible for day-to-day operations. In addition, Joann spearheads fundraising and development, coordinates staff and volunteers, conducts special events and tours, and serves as liaison with parents.

 

Representing the Choir on numerous boards, Joann has fostered an active community relations program that has resulted in significant public awareness of the Choir and its activities. Joann is a gifted speaker in all areas related to the management and fiscal operations of a not-for-profit organization. Seven years ago she developed a workshop for choir managers’ that has become a successful annual event, attracting persons from across the country.

Jenya Trubnikava
Accompanist

Jenya Trubnikava was born in Grodno, Belarus and immigrated to the United States in 2006. She studied at the Grodno State Musical College and has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Piano Performance from the Academy of Music in Minsk, Belarus, with additional post-graduate study in Zurich Switzerland. In April 2007 she has become the principal pianist with the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra. Jenya works as accompanist at St. Cloud State University, with Minnesota Center Chorale and is an active solo and chamber music performer in St. Cloud Area.


Nick Kleespie
recorder ensemble Director

Nick Kleespie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Choral Music Education from Saint John’s University. This will be Nick’s third year with The Saint John’s Boys’ Choir where he directs the Recorder Ensemble and works as a rehearsal assistant, office assistant and theory instructor. Nick plays a fundamental role in assisting the boys to meet the highest standards in all aspects of their lives. In addition to his work with the Boys’ Choir, Nick serves the Saint John’s campus in numerous ways. He is currently the Director of Service, Peace and Justice for SJU Campus Ministry, works as a Faculty Resident in the freshman and sophomore dormitories, and sings with the Saint John’s Abbey Schola.

Wardrobe Professional

Kathy Janku is responsible for the maintenance, alteration, acquisition, and repair of choir apparel. In her position as Wardrobe Professional, Kathy attends all choir functions to oversee the appearance of the boys and to assist with chaperone duties. Kathy is the owner of the window treatment business Evening Shades.
